Regalia Care
The way you find the regalia when you take it out of the box when I ship it to you is the best way to store it or put it on a model. Be sure the bridle is not mushed but always keeps it's shape. Lay it so the fringe doesn't get bent. The breast collar can lay almost flat. The neck straps have a natural curve, don't flatten that out. Make sure the fringe lays flat and straight, not bent. To fit the breast collar to the model you can gently bend the beadwork (neck straps and chest piece) to the shape of the horse's neck and chest. The neck decoration leave curved over as you find it in the bag. Don't lay it flat. Make sure the fringe lays flat. The saddle/drape keep it how it is in the bag. I take some bubble wrap and roll it up in the shape of a horse's back. Be sure the smooth side of the bubble wrap is against the leather & not the bubbles. If you don't have bubble wrap use something similar. Be sure that what you use has no dye or writing on it, if it does make sure it doesn't touch the leather as it could rub off & stain the leather. Keep the saddle/drape on that so it keeps it's shape. Be sure the fringe, especially on the drape always lays flat and straight. If the fringe on any part of the costume gets bent out of shape just wet it, straighten then put it on a body model to dry. Don't get the feathers or beadwork wet. Also, make sure the feathers don't get bent. Like the breast collar you can also gently bend the beadwork on other parts of the costume (like the saddle pad) to shape it to the horse.
For dolls be sure you don't lay male dolls on their back. You'll break the feathers on the headdress if you do. Lay him face down. If the doll doesn't have a eagle feather tail running down his back you can turn his head to the side before you lay him face down to protect his face.
